Azure Dev Tools for Teaching is an excellent service from Microsoft that allows Chiang Mai University students to download Microsoft software (copyrighted) through the website for themselves. Microsoft's copyrighted educational software service was launched in February 2019, replacing Microsoft Imagine X or DreamSpark, formerly Azure, as well as low-cost Microsoft software. The main condition of use is the user must be a student in the STEM group. See details at

for studying in an educational institution, or use for research study, but not used in the infrastructure of the department, when graduated or not a student. Use is then considered unauthorized and illegal. Chiang Mai University has the right to use Azure Dev Tools for Teaching so those who want to use it can apply on their own at

Some important conditions of use are as follows:
- Use of software or services is a direct agreement made by Microsoft and users
- Used for educational and research purposes only, and not for department infrastructure such as for building a web server
- The student groups must study in the STEM group to be used correctly.
- For students who have already graduated, users that do not have student status, or, staff that are not considered to hold a standard position at Chiang Mai University, any use is considered a breach of the terms of use.

The application process is as follows.
1. Visit the Azure Dev Tools for Teaching website.
2. Login via Chiang Mai University email
3. Accept the terms of use (Only for the first time)
4. Check the list of software items and search for the desired software, or choose to know how to use Microsoft technology
5. The key and installation file are displayed.
